Casa Wabi Residency
In 2015, I participated in a one-month residency at Casa Wabi in Puerto Escondido to work on a project researching Afro-Mexican foodways and to create the Recetario Wabi, a small cookbook featuring local and traditional ingredients, as well as resident and staff recipes. I also organized a one-night pop-up dinner in collaboration with chef Ezekiel Hernández, highlighting the products and cooking techniques of the region. The work I produced during the Casa Wabi residency has been included in the exhibition “Memory Shop” curated by Nicolás Bourriand running from April 24, 2021 - January 2022.
